scrubs
I understand that as long as teh appliance of make-up compliments a person in an appropriate way, it is acceptable. However, is there a certain age limit to when girls should use limit to avoid damaging as little of their skin as possible?
After all, they are still young with supple skin- wouldn't products such as dead sea facial scrubs abrase/damage it?
I agree with the first answer. Girls who don't have acne shouldn't waste their money and time on exfoliating scrubs, moisturizers, etc…You're right, exfoliating scrubs aren't necessary for young girls.
Kids (boys and girls) should wash their faces daily, with plain water. To wash away sweat, dirt, etc…
But once a girl gets acne (usually around 11-14), she should use a gentle facial cleanser at morning and night. I like Cetaphil cleanser, personally.

lab coats
I was talking to someone about this a few minutes ago. Is it a big deal for nurses or food service workers to wear their lab coats and/or aprons in the street and then into their place of employment? This would be before work, and during breaks, lunches, ect. thanks
p.s. What if the person wears the apron or coat from their home, to the car, and straight to work?
Also, why do restaurants and hospitals only provide one or two aprons and lab coats if they are concerned with hygiene. Seems like they would provide at least five for people who work full-time.
I was a USDA QA Tech for a long time in a poultry production cook plant. And according to government guidelines it is not permissable to wear any thing that is a supposed santitary covering out of the production area. period. You may not do this. You also must wash your hands upon the entering into any area that production is taking place as well as wear hairnets and gloves that will not allow any surface of exposed skin contact with the product. This causes potential contamination of the product and if it found to be in noncompliance all product must be thrown away. I mean all of it that was on the line at the time of the documented incident and then all the surfaces must be washed down and sanitized before they can be used again. Poultry Quality Assurance Techs ar ethe people who keep you from getting sick from contaminated food stuffs in the market. Don't think that because they work at the "Chicken Plant" that they are not on top of the game. If they were not., People would be getting ill constantly.

nursing uniforms
I washed my nursing school uniforms and didn't realize that I had left a tube of Chapstick in my pocket. Well, needless to say, there are unsightly little spots all over my uniforms. Which, is unacceptable and if I don't get it out by Monday, I will be in serious trouble. I have read the various Chapstick/clothing related articles and it seems there are several treatments. My uniforms are blue/white. They are a cotton/poly blend. I cannot use bleach or anything that will discolor them. One of my instructors suggested "Goo gone", but it didn't work. I'm not sure what else to do.
Chapstick is grease based rub Dawn dish liquid to break up the grease.
And/Or soak in oxiclean
Both will work

I live in LA i was wondering where can i buy cheap scrubs for MA? I know they sell some in downtown but i dont wanna go there. Does anyone know of another place?
I get my scrubs cheap at Tafford - they have great clearance specials - sometimes scrubs for $1.99 or $4.99, their quality is great and they send out emails for free shipping all the time!
Here is their clearance section:

Surgical scrubs like what surgeons wear
Tafford has more unique styles, better quality, and is cheaper than Wal-Mart. If you shop their clearance section, scrubs start at $1.99. Even regular prices start at around $10. Check them out:

scrubs uniforms
In my experience, size charts do not accurately reflect how the uniform will fit. I wear small in Landau, Peaches, and Dickies, but according to all their measurement charts I should be wearing a medium or even a large sometimes!
Has anyone worn Uniform Advantage brand scrubs before?? If so, can you tell me how they fit in comparison to other brands (ex. if you wear small Landau pants, do you wear small Uniform Advantage brand pants?)?
Thanks for your help.
P.S. They have lots of cute print tops online at www.uniformadvantage.com for anyone who works in the medical/ dental field.
It depends on what kind of scrub brand you buy from. I just ordered a bunch of scrubs from them with the girls at work. (Xray tech) I'm a little bigger I wear medium pants and small tops in Dickies. Now I bought everything in the size I normally do and in the Happy Scrubs section (where I bought everything) the top fit a little big (go with XS) and the pants were tight in my hip area! So I should have bought a L in pants, which are normally too big for me in other brands. I would definitely recommend getting a medium in pants if you normally wear smalls. Happy Scrubs are Uniform Advantage by the way and good luck. Hope that helped!

scrubs
I have a daughter in the health care profession and have bought many sets of scrubs for her, there are many patterns and colours for her to choose from but now my son is entering the health care field, trying to find them for him is much harder, unisex is what we found, out of curiosity does anyone know the difference between all three?
I've never seen a difference in the scrubs that most people wear (eg. in the OR), but I know that there are plenty of catalogs that sell stuff like that for health care providers or anyone else who wants it. Really all it is, I truly believe, is that these companies try to make as many different thing/styles as possible to make as much money as possible. It's just like any other catalog - If you see something you like, they want you to buy it. But I don't think that there really is a "standard" for male and female scrubs.

lab coats
I (non-professionally) write science fiction and role-play supplements (particularly with groups that dabble in science and technical related activities) and recently realized that I have almost never seen a lab coat that wasn't white and only discovered pale blue options when I tried to look up some online. It's practically a stereotypel; the calm, educated individual in a nice white coat.
This may be a idiotic question but why are lab coats really white? Is it cost, protection against chemicals reacting to certain dyes, or something else?
the bleaching bit is true enough, plus it is a traditional thing & gives one a feel of status and connection to all those professors in the past ….
However, we are ever changing, eh? I have a dark maroon lab coat with coarse lace on the edges
and I have seen black ones and red ones. The colors are on the fringe (like maybe 4%?) but they are there & you can imagine the personalities that go with them - so you could use that in your writings….

nursing uniforms
there is a store in the Grossmont mall in La Mesa, there is also one across the street from the Chula Vista mall Its on Broadway, same parking lot as Carls Jr and Pizza Hut.
Both of these are for mdern day scrubs. I noticed your name has "theater" in it. If you are looking for traditional costumes, the white skirt ones, you may want to try a costume shop. The only two that iknow of that are open all year (as opposed to just Halloween) is Buffalos Breath, a bit pricy, bu good costumes, good for rentals, and the Gypsy treasure chest in La Mesa. Good luck.
Also you may want to add more details incase people have more options for you. Are you in South San Diego? North?
