How can I fix a ruined Lab Coat ?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: lab coats

I purchased a Lab Coat for my husband as a special gift to him. But problem was the sleeves were too long so we took it to an Alteration place to have the sleeves altered. When we got the Lab Coat back the sleeves were WAY too short and the lady who works at the Alteration refuses to fix it. Where can I take my husband's Lab Coat to get the sleeves lengthened and How ??

Write a letter of complaint to the establishment indicating that you need to made whole on this.

Include the cost for a new coat and indicate that you have no other choice but to register a complaint with the Better Business Bureau unless you receive a response within the next 14 days.

Buy your husband a new coat and take it somewhere else to have the sleeves hemmed.

do most college book stores have lab coats and goggles?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: lab coats

My AP Biology teacher has required everyone to purchase a lab coat, goggles, and a lab book for his class. He told us which college to go to in order to find this book, however it was not clear whether or not they carried the other items i needed. I have searched their entire website and can not find pictures of their book store, i have even tried calling but they are closed right now. So my question is, for those of you who have been to a college bookstore, do you remember if they had either of these items? and if not, is there a place i can go to get them?
never mind. i actually just found my answer. first person to write anything gets the 10 points.
for anyone that may need the answer in the future, i went to my closest community college and they a lot of them there. all different colors and sizes

I’m in college right now, and I’ve never seen any lab coats or goggles in the bookstore. In fact, I’m about 95% sure that shelf space in college book stores is too valuable to place lab coats and goggles there. However, there are of course many ways you can get them instead.

Online is the obvious option.

Also, you might want to check with previous students who took AP Bio with your teacher. They can probably share with you where they got their equipment. You can always get great advice from older students for any class, high school or college.

Lastly, remember to keep your receipt! If you have to buy the equipment for a public school (maybe also private, but I’m unsure), you can probably get a tax exemption and get money back for it! That is, the government will reimburse you for the lab equipment.

Usually do schools make you buy the lab coats off them or can I buy my own?> I hate the school ones as they

are so generic and for the same price I could order a custom fitted one thats really good quality but I cant afford to buy 2

ask your school

What hospital staff wear white vests / sleeveless coats?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: lab coats

I’m just curious what staff members of the hospitals sport the white vests/ sleeveless lab coats. Are they Physician’s assistants, physical therapists, medical assistants, respiratory therapists.
It seems that the physical therapists, secretaries, nurses, and CNAs all wear scrubs. I know diet techs wear white vests or a lab coat.

I’m just trying to understand inner-workingsings of a hospital. There are so many people! :)

thanks in advance.

There used to be more hard and fast rules for this such as only those with a doctorate degree were allowed to wear coats that went below the waist. It just isn't true anymore.

Personally, I always wear a long coat, but my collegue likes to wear a sleevless vest in the summer (we are both PTs). yet, we are both allowed to wear scrubs as an alternative.

It's all dependent on the facility's policies. The only way to tell for sure is by reading someone's credentials on their name badge.

How can my make my lab coat more fitted?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: lab coats

I’m a petite girl and i was wondering ways i could make my lab coat more fitted to give me some shape

homemade ways without sewing, or simple sewing without machine

Ohhh, nothing sexier than a fitted lab coat, you go girl! Is this for role playing? I won’t tell.

When I was in clothing retail we had to alter the clothing to look more fitting on our anorexic-looking models, so we folded them in the back with safety pins. You could try that!

Good luck!
