Can Someone Please Tell Me What This Is Called On Military Uniforms..?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs uniforms

On dress military uniforms they look like gold little scrubbing brushes and they are on the shoulders.

What are they called and what are they for? Are they for style or do they have a rank meaning?

If your talking shoulder boards, then they are for rank. They are found on all types of uniforms, but are more pronunced on "Dress" uniforms. for example on Navy whites 2 gold bars would indicate that the person was a captain. But on the Navy flight uniforms you would find the same shoulder boards in green with the color of the stripes being either darker green, or a less bright gold.

How to get the smell of cat urine out of clothes!?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs uniforms

Help! My spayed female cat just decided to pee all over my scrub uniforms for work! They were in my laundry basket in my room and she peed in the basket! She has a litter litter pan in my room too, and I clean it every morning! She has never done this before and this is the only time (that I know of) that she's done it. Afterwards, she used her litter box now. It figures, she has to pee on my work uniforms! I have tried soaking the clothes in vinegar and baking soda and the smell is still there! I have to get this smell out of these clothes, I paid a lot of money for them! Can anyone help me??
Thanks to all who respond!
Of course I used the washing machine. duh?
I soaked them in vinegar and baking soda (in the washing machine) overnight, then added a lot of detergent and washed them. That didn't work.

I have a male kitten who is using clothing as a litter box…just had him neutered and am hoping that will take care of that.

Anyway, I've had to wash so many things. They make these spray-on cat pee neutralizers you can buy at grocery stores, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. They are under different brand names but you'll usually find them on the cat supply aisle. In the grocery store I had to look with the carpet cleaning accessories. Make sure the one you get mentions enzymes. Spray it on — I soak the spots — wash it, and you're good to go. Also, I'm not sure it actually helped, but I added about 1/4 cup of ammonia to the last load, and it smelled sweet when it came out.

P.S. You may want to invest in a black light. I bought a portable one that I found with the Halloween supplies and use it to find spots on the carpet. It's VERY obvious under the black light!

how to find distributors and manufacturers of medical scrub uniforms?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs uniforms

Go to a local med supply retailer or look one up online and write down some brand names. Contact the brand, who makes it and ask them who their distributors are. Contact distributors and ask them what they need to sell to you (DBA, state sales tax permit, etc…) and get those things. Once you have that account with them, then your set to do retail.

Where do you get your scrubs from?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs uniforms

I'm a nurse, and I'm always looking for good quality scrubs, that are more fashionable than the traditional ones. I've never ordered any online, but want to, has anyone used Marcus Uniforms (http://www.marcusuniforms.com) before? I'd rather hear someone's good or bad experiences before ordering?

Thanks!

I've found them to be kind of cheap (the scrubs don't last long)- their service is just OK. I get all my scrubs at Tafford - their quality is the best and their prices are fair. Plus, their customer service is the best and they have great deals that come in my email.

Check them out, you wont be disappointed:

Where could I find a Nurse's Scrub uniform for my pug?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs uniforms

I have a look alike contest coming soon, and want a scrub suit to match my work scrubs.

I couldn't find a nurse's costume, but I did find a vet's costume for your dog. Maybe you could work with that?

How many sets of scrubs do you own?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs uniforms

I’m an advertising professional doing research on medical uniforms. I would like to know how many different sets of scrubs medical professionals own in total? And, on average how many different pairs would you wear per week?

I always wore a regular uniform, white pants and had six pair. I wore a colored top, and had eight or ten very different ones.
Only rarely needed scrubs. They were always available in the hospital laundry if needed, but had to be returned. I hated having to wear scrubs.

All of my tops were tailor-made, with three large pockets, a pen pocket and two side pockets.
I always carried all of the small items that I would need during the shift.
You can’t do that with scrubs.

what kind of material do you make scrub uniforms out of?

They're made of cotton polyester. Its the cheapest material to outfit a large amount of people. (hospital staff)

Can I wear my Vans with scrubs?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs uniforms

I just got a job at an ophthalmology center as a perimetry technician assistant and the uniform is scrubs, as is expected. This is my first job in a medical setting and I was wondering if it was inappropriate to wear my Vans slip-ons. I really hate regular tennis shoes and was looking for a way around them.

Yes, beyond a shadow of a doubt unless there is something specific in your dress code (which I doubt there is). I have had dealings in the medical field for years (both as a patient and as an employee). I have yet to see a job that expects scrubs not find Vans type sneakers acceptable.

As for Vans being a good choice, I have to leave that to you. Some at work might question it as there isn’t a lot of support in your typical slip-on Vans. But for me this is personal choice as long as it doesn’t interfere with your performance (e.g. you get tired too quickly).

NOTE: I encourage people to aways wear several shoes each week. Each pair needs a chance to air out and the insole a chance to return to their original form.

You might consider having two Vans slip-on and one sneaker with more support.

On a personal note: I’m glad to meet another slip-on fan. I love Vans, Men’s Keds, Sperry Top Sider, etc Have fun!
