What shoes do you wear with scrubs?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I am starting a job in a medical office and I have to go buy scrubs. I am also supposed to wear "all white shoes". Do you have any suggestions on what sort of shoes I should buy? I am a runner so I am partial to running-esque shoes or at least shoes that will support my arch.

Running shoes are perfect…I work in the medical field and at first, because I wanted style I bought all kinds of different tennis shoes to go with my scrubs, but they were cheap…I started having alot of pain in my feet and after talking to my step mother, a nurse for over 20 years, she told me to spring for some Nike's….after that the pain went away…if you are going to be on your feet all day, you have to get the really nice shoes with the good soles…trust me, it is worth it! Since you are required to wear all white (sorry for that by the way) First try shoes stores in the mall (that is what I would do) but if you have difficulty finding mostly white, then you could go to a uniform store….not sure where you are located but often you can find stores that just sell scrubs…and they will also have a selection of white shoes. Just make sure you are getting a good pair….they aren't always the most comfortable. You can also wear clogs..those are comfortable and sold at these stores, mostly in all white, but I hate to wear them because I always feel like my foot is slipping. Maybe try and find a white pair of Crocs? Here are some web sites that might help, as well…congrats on the new job and good luck!

How much would you spend on quality body products like lotion, body scrubs and shampoo.?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I'm launching a new product a luxury line of beauty products like lotions, shampoos and body scrubs and I'm getting around to pricing them. They will be of high quality but I would like to price them at moderate prices like under $50. What is the most and least you would spend for your body?

It would depend on the natural content of the product…I don't mind paying for something wonderful…without all the chemicals and preservatives.

Is it acceptable to go to a job interview in scrubs?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I am in high school but we volunteer at the hospital so
we have to wear scrubs. I have a job interview after
school at a small clothing store. Should I go home and
change first?

if you want the job..yes..it shows respect and responsibility..besides its a clothing store…show some fashion sense

It's called 'Superman' or some people call it 'I'm No Superman' by Lazlo Bane

Lyrics -

Out the door just in time
Head down the 405
Gotta meet the new boss by 8 am

The phone rings in the car
The wife is working hard
She's running late tonight again

Well
I know what I've been told
You gotta work to feed the soul
But I can't do this all on my own
No, I know I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman

no

You've got your love online
You think you're doing fine
But you're just plugged into the wall

And that deck of tarot cards
Won't get you very far
There ain't no hand to break your fall

Well
I know what I've been told
You gotta know just when to fold
But I can't do this all on my own
No, I know I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman

That's right
== harmonica solo ==

You've crossed the finish line
Won the race but lost your mind
Was it worth it after all

I need you here with me
Cause love is all we need
Just take a hold of the hand that breaks the fall

Well I know what I've been told
Gotta break free to break the mold
But I can't do this all on my own
No I can't do this all on my own
I know that I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman
I'm no Superman

Someday we'll be together
Somedaaay
Someday we'll be together
Somedaaay
I'm no Superman

Do they give you scrubs when you volunteer at a hospital?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I'm going to be volunteering at a hospital starting next month and I was wondering if they are going to provide me with scrubs?

Thanks

most volunteer will not wear scrubs - if you work in a dept that you need them it is entirely up to the hospital whether they give them to you or you will need to buy them - ask the hospital before you start to volunteer

What is the Scrubs episode after My Point of No Return?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I wanted to buy that episode on iTunes, but I don’t know the episode title. It is the Scrubs episode after My Rabbit/My Point of No Return. If you can give me the episode title, that would be great!

If you could also give me a easy way to access that sort of information, (like a chart or something) that would be great as well. Thanks!

Thats the last episode of season 6. The next is ‘My Own Worst Enemy’

Do scrubs really help the patients recognize who are the caregivers?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I am a healthcare provider and am required to wear scrubs. Today many of the patients asked me why the staff wore scrubs because they never know who is part of the medical staff to begin with. Should medical facilities be required to wear scrubs or regular clothes? What are your opinions?

I think that it is a side affect that developed over time. Scrubs have become sort of an “icon” associated with health care workers.

To answer the second part of your question, yes employees should be required to wear scrubs. Nobody wants foreign body fluids on their jeans, or do they?

Are people really into natural body butters and scrubs these days?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I make all natural whipped body butter and i make my own hand, foot, and body scrubs. I know that when some products say "all natural" it is really not because of the added preservatives and alchol, but mine are truly natural and i was just wondering if people are really into buying pure "all natural, the real deal" body and skincare prouducts.

Yes I hear allot about them I use some I sue olive oil and sugar to exfoliate my skin, and water and oatmeal or a plain egg for a mask, w/ the whotes around the eyes.

Can you gain weight with facial scrubs containing sugar, or with oily moisturizers?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: scrubs

I know it seems like a dumb question, but I really would like to know. Some of these skin-care products contain plenty of sugar (apricot scrubs, etc) or fat (lotions with oil). These sugars and fats penetrate the skin and enter our systems.

Do they count as calories ingested? Or is it just the calories you EAT that count towards weight loss/gain?

indeed, it is a very interesting question

well…homosepians (human beings) do not have the ability to absorb a lot of things though their skin like other creatures (e.g. unicellular organisms). So it is safe for you to use any of these products on your skin.
this is mainly because of the surface area to volume ratio factor. Humans need a specialised system for absorbing food, which is the digestive system. so unuless you eat the stuff, it is not counted as calories!!! and would not cause weight gain.

However, some products that contain cortisone or steroids might cause weight gain, not because of the energy content, but becuase of the way steroids work in the body!!
